First hour · Patch 1.0.4
Moon Sweepers beginner guide
The first hour is a loop, not a build order. Brush dust, walk it to a depot, launch a shipment, and read the number on the intake before you buy anything. Patch 1.0.4 is the current reference. This page names the keys the patch notes actually publish and leaves the rest of the control list unread.
Keys the notes actually name
| Input | What it does | Source |
|---|---|---|
| N | Helmet lamp, then night vision goggles, then off | Patch 1.0.4 |
| Right-click on the Moon map | Set a waypoint, focus the spot, or teleport | Patch 1.0.4 |
| ESC, then Your Crew | Host can kick, ban, or unban a player for that save | Patch 1.0.3 |
A first hour that does not waste the payout
- Sweep with the toothbrush until you are carrying a load. The store loop is dust, depot, shipment.
- Put the depot on the ground you are already cleaning. Launch-week players said a placed building stays put, and no note through 1.0.4 describes a refund.
- Launch one shipment. Read the intake. Patch 1.0.3 says it pays the number on its screen, including dust and stone that arrive by belt.
- Buy one upgrade, once, for the whole crew. Since 1.0.3 the host matrix is shared. Spend it on the wait you just felt: capacity if you walked half empty, a better tool if the brush was the wait, a vehicle if the distance was the wait.
- Only then look at night vision ($350, the N key) and at J.O.O.N.A.S. The robot wants a catcher in the hex it is cleaning. The catcher holds 100 kg as of 1.0.4.
Mistakes that show up in the first evening
- Following a launch-day co-op post that tells every player to buy the same upgrade. Patch 1.0.3 ended that. One purchase on the host matrix covers the crew.
- Automating before the intake is beside the work. A belt across an empty walk is still a walk.
- Quitting a huge base on a build older than 1.0.4. That patch cut the save of a heavily cleaned base from as long as half a minute to a fraction of a second, and it keeps backups.
- Treating a blank price on this wiki as zero. A blank means the notes did not publish the number.
Where to go after the first shipment
Questions
- What do I start with?
- The store page says the budget covered a toothbrush. You collect lunar dust, deliver it to a depot, and launch shipments to get paid.
- Which keys are confirmed?
- Patch 1.0.4 says N cycles helmet lamp, night vision goggles, and off. The Moon map takes a right-click to set a waypoint, focus, or teleport. ESC opens the menu; the host's crew list is in there as of 1.0.3. A full binding list was not published.
