Crews · Patch 1.0.4
Moon Sweepers co-op guide
Up to 16 people can join the host's lobby. Since patch 1.0.3 the crew shares the host's upgrade matrix, so one purchase covers everyone, including on older saves that keep the highest level anybody had bought. Launch-week reviews also called the cash shared. The patch notes never restate the wallet rule, so check it in the session.
What is shared on 1.0.4
| Thing | Rule in the current notes | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Player cap | Solo, or online co-op up to 16 | Steam store, 26 Oct 2026 |
| Upgrade matrix | Host's matrix. Any purchase applies to the whole crew. Old saves keep the highest level anyone had bought. | Patch 1.0.3 |
| Cleaned ground | Everyone sees the same cleaned ground, including robot trails and manual cleaning | Patch 1.0.4 |
| Belts | Any crewmate can place splitters and mergers on belts another player built. Mergers alternate inputs. | Patch 1.0.4 |
| Vehicles | Any of your garages can recall, store, and upgrade them. Demolishing a garage does not delete them. | Patch 1.0.3 |
| Host tools | ESC, Your Crew: kick, ban, unban. A ban blocks that save. | Patch 1.0.3 |
| Cash | Described as shared in launch-week reviews. Not restated in the 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 notes. | Community, then a silence in the notes |
| Dedicated server | Not listed | Store feature list |
| Cross-play | Not listed. Windows is the store platform. | Store |
| Version | 1.0.4 saves do not open in older builds. 1.0.3 already required a matched crew. | Both patches |
Roles that scale
- Two players: one sweeps, one runs the depot and is the only person opening the matrix. You do not need two copies of a suit upgrade.
- Four players: two on the brush or a vehicle, one hauling to the intake, one placing belts. Swap the haul when the sweeper's bin is the bottleneck.
- Sixteen players: split by map sector. One person calls purchases out loud so the crew does not queue the same row sixteen times. The host stays. There is no dedicated server to fall back on.
Questions
- Do we each buy tools and vehicles?
- Not according to patch 1.0.3. The whole crew uses the host's upgrade matrix, and anyone's purchase upgrades everyone. Vehicles you own can be recalled from any garage. Launch-day posts that say every player buys a private copy of the economy upgrades are describing the game before that patch.
- Is the money shared?
- Players said so in the first reviews, and it matches a crew that can all spend at one intake. Patch 1.0.3, which went out of its way to redefine upgrades, does not repeat a wallet rule. Open the session with a friend and watch both balances after one shipment before you plan who pays.
