Moon Sweepers 1.0.4 patch notes
Patch 1.0.4, posted 25 Oct 2026, makes J.O.O.N.A.S. clean without a nearby player, adds $350 night vision goggles, and keeps five save backups outside Steam Cloud. Windows defaults to DirectX 11 so AMD cards crash less. Saves from this build do not open in older versions, so the whole crew has to update together.
What you will notice in a session
- Night vision goggles cost $350. N cycles lamp, goggles, and off. Nights are readable and shadowless.
- The Moon map takes a right-click for a waypoint, focus, or teleport. Robots show their activity.
- A teleport panel lists discovered stations.
- J.O.O.N.A.S. does not drive home to dock. It fires at the nearest catcher, cleans outside-in, and keeps going when you leave.
- The catcher shows its dust and holds 100 kg.
- Saving a large cleaned base is a fraction of a second instead of up to half a minute. Quitting no longer sits on the saving line.
- Five backups per slot, a minute in and then every 30 minutes, outside Steam Cloud.
- Ground cleaning matches across the crew, including robot trails.
- Mergers alternate. Anyone can add a splitter or merger to another player's belt.
- AMD on Windows uses DirectX 11 unless you set -force-d3d12.
- Older Proton startup failures on Steam Deck and Linux are marked fixed.
What this patch does not claim
It does not say the launch-week upgrade-matrix crash is fixed. It does not publish a building refund. It does not price the tool ladder. Those stay open on the fix and matrix pages instead of being waved through.
Questions
- Can I roll a 1.0.4 save back to 1.0.3?
- The notes say no. Saves made in 1.0.4 cannot be opened in older versions.
